Last June 24, 2017, one of my best friends, Iris, finally tied the knot with her fiance, Eldrin. Mr. A and I flew all the way from Davao to Manila just to witness their special day. (I also had a short speech stint during the reception so of course I had to be there)
Just want to show you the gown that I had made for that special day.
I got the inspiration for the design on the internet while I was browsing for dresses as a guide for my seamstress to follow. I chose the color purple because I realized that I don't own a dress with that particular color yet.
This design was something that I wanted - sexy but does not show too much skin. The design was elegant and quite unique as well.
It really pays to have a SUKI seamstress that I can rely on whenever I need gowns for any special occasion.
The one who made my gown is Ms. Bernadith Saito (you can check out her Facebook account HERE) and she is the same person who made my wedding gown and my other pre-nuptial photoshoot dresses. The gown itself only costs Php 2,800 (materials plus labor already) plus I usually give Ms. Bernadith additional allowances for fare and food since she works freelance and instead of having her own shop, she comes to the residences and work places of her clients. For me, I find it more convenient that going to a certain shop just to have a particular dress made. So that's usually around 50 to 200 pesos depending on where we plan on meeting up.
Oh and another good thing about Ms. Bernadith is that she is really professional and you can always ask her for suggestions or request for alterations. She's somebody that one can definitely be comfortable in talking with without any pretense and any intimidation.
If there's another special occasion that needs me to wear something fancy like this one, I'm glad I have somebody I can depend on. Thank God for talented people who can make magnificent gowns like this one.
P.S. my apologies for the low quality photo as we shot this one at the basement parking of my in-law's condominium.
