QUICK BLABS | Stuff you need to know about Cebu Pacific Air's direct international flight from Davao City

Two weeks ago, I just experienced, for the first time, an international flight from my hometown, Davao City. For the many years that I have been travelling abroad, it was always us going to Manila first for a quick stop over and flying to a different country after a few hours or after a day.
This time, I was able to visit one of my favorite Asian countries again (Thailand) all thanks to Cebu Pacific Air's direct flight from Davao City - now flying 3 times a week!
After travelling to and from Bangkok with the new direct flight from Davao City, here are some deets that I want to share that might just come in handy when you, yourself, decide to travel to Bangkok.
1.) You will land at Don Mueang International Airport - Bangkok has two airports - Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Mueang International Airport. Cebu Pacific travelers from Davao City will land on the latter. What's the difference? Well, based on my experience, Suvarnabhumi is quite bigger in size compared to Don Mueang International Airport but both are clean and staff were very accommodating.
2.) The gate for international passengers is separate from domestic passengers - even though Davao International Airport is quite small, they still found a way to make a division for international and local passengers.
3.) Flight is around 4 hours to and from Bangkok - I was used to only traveling around 3 something hours to and from Bangkok via Manila. This one was a bit longer but I honestly don't mind. I have already tried a 21 hour flight before so wasn't really a huge adjustment for me.
4.) Be prepared to answer the Immigration Officer's questions - now this is a case to case basis. I wasn't nervous at all since I am already a frequent traveler. But for those who are traveling abroad for the first time, it pays to be prepared. Familiarize your itinerary and also the name and address of the hotel you will be staying at. Coz that might be asked by the IO.
5.) Don't forget your passport! - ugh of course! The most important document of all. While you do not need a visa to enter Bangkok, you do need a valid passport to do so. Before any travels, double check the date of expiry of your passports to avoid being unaccepted to the flight.
6.) Enjoy! Apparently I don't really have much to say but to sum everything up, I had a blast during my first visit to Bangkok via a direct flight from Davao City all thanks to Cebu Pacific Air.
And guess what? I won a roundtrip International Flight from Cebu Pacific Air during last week's Davao Bloggers Society Christmas party. And to be honest, Bangkok is currently on top of my list because of the direct flight from Davao City. I mean, no need to go to Manila just to go to another country, right?
Special thanks to Cebu Pacific Air for the prize and also for flying me to Bangkok two weeks ago. That trip was also made possible thanks to Tourism Authority of Thailand.
And also to the Davao Bloggers Society officers for going a splendid job on the party. Everybody truly had a blast and it was indeed a night to remember!
